Open Proto Library for VRMLpad
Version: 2004-01-08, 86 Protos
The 'Open Proto Library for VRMLpad' is a collection of
EXTERNPROTO's
from different VRML developers and designers. The library makes it
possible to easily use this collection of
PROTO's
inside VRMLpad for your own work.
An EXTERNPROTO is an extension to the Virtual Reality Modeling Language that
allows the VRML browser plug-in to recognize new nodes that individual
authors have created. VRML was designed to allow this extensibility, this
PROTO library makes using other authors extensions easier. Additionally,
there is a limit on the number of macros that can be added to VRMLpad
versions 1.0 and 2.0, this library gets around the limitation allowing the
user to have more choices and increasing the stability of VRMLpad.
VRMLpad is the most powerful text editor built exclusively for VRML. Best of
all it is extensible; it is easy to customize it to add missing functions or
other frequently used features. If there are other programs that can support
the library in the same way, please write an email to:
vrmlsuck@neeneenee.de.
The prototypes are owned by each developer, requests for enhancements or
modifications should be discussed with the individual contributor. These
add-ins are without warranty. This Site is not responsible for their
functions and only serves as a central location to distribute this code. The
authors have voluntarily contributed their work to this project and they
remain the owners of their intellectual property. The project simply makes
it easier for other users to access and use these VRML extensions. The
